Under Armor Golf has unveiled its new Golf Footwear Performance Center in Stoke Park, Buckinghamshire, and offers a ‘shoe optimization process’ that promises to match golfers with their ideal shoes for maximum performance.

The tailor-made service combines Biomecaforce AI-driven strength plates, launch monitor data and Sidas Podiaatech Foot analysis to assess swing mechanics, foot anatomy and power generation.

Players receive tailor-made recommendations from the Drive Pro series of the brand, complete adapted insoles built with on-site.

During the launch on July 29, Under Armor EMEA director Kevin Ross called “the most advanced athlete performance when following the technology in Golf.”

DP World Tour Rising Star Rasmus Down-Gaard-Pernes tested the system, with 2.5 mph in club head speed and an increase of 5% in peak vertical power.

Negaard-Petersen said: “The entire process has been an eye opening and has led to a few crucial profit for me, including an increase in peak vertical power of 5%.

“The level of feedback is incredible and must make many golfers think about how useful shoe optimization can be.”

Each two-hour session costs £ 500 and includes bio-mechanical tests, a pair of drive pro-shoes and adapted insoles.

Bookings can be made via head of shoe optimization Chris Murtagh in Stoke Park AT cmurtagh@stokepark.co.uk
