UMPire invitation for the 28th Asian championships and 3rd Asian youth competitions

The ATTU Technical and UMPIRES Committee, in collaboration with Table Tennis Federation of India and the Bahrain Asian Youth Games Organizational Committee (BayGOC), invites a member of member associations of Attu to propose international referees (IU) 28th Asian championships that are held in Bhubaneswar, India and the 3rd Asian youth competitions that are held in Manama, Bahrainrespectively. The period of the Asian championships is from 11 to October 15 While the period of the Asian youth games comes 26 to October 30, 2025. The exact arrival dates of technical officials will be confirmed later.

A total of twelve (12) overseas international referees will be invited to the Asian championships and a maximum of twenty -two (to be confirmed) overseas international referees for the Asian youth games.

Free hospitality and daily reimbursement will be provided during the period. Baygoc will offer the air passage of the round travel conditions for all invited referees to Manama for the Asian youth matches, but selected referees for the Asian championships must organize their transport to Bhubaneswar and travel and medical insurance policies.

Associations can nominate Two (2) international referees Each for the Asian championships and Asian youth competitions. All nominated referees must be on the list of active referees published by Attu. Among the two nominated referees should at least one of the nominations be an international referee who has reached a Golden Badge or Blauwe Badge status, with the other nomination international referees (White Badge) who have been internationally active in the last two years. For the Asian youth games, preference will be given to those referees under 40 years of age. During the selection process, Gold Badge or Blue Badge referees is also preferred.

With the approval of the ITTF URC, certified evaluators will perform the field of play evaluations on eligible referees who work at the Asian championships 2025. An Advanced UMPIRE Training (Aut) course and an online advanced rules research (AR) will be held one day before the championships on Friday 10 October 2025 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. White badge referees selected for the event can participate in the aut. For the Auto, all candidates must go through a number of self-study and two online sessions with the course conductor before they can attend the on-site Aut in India. Those who pass the online will participate in the Blue Badge (BB) UMPIRE program from URC. Arrival for those who follow the Auto course is expected to be on Thursday, October 9, 2025. Candidates from the Aut/AR or their association will be responsible for the course costs of USD 50 Plus the extra night (Thursday, October 9).

This is an open invitation for all member associations of the Attu and therefore not all nominated referees can be accepted. Only nominations submitted by Associations or Attu will be considered. Names of IUS that are accepted are subject to Table Tennis Federation of India and the Baygoc for definitive approval and appointment respectively. All appointed referees are obliged to commit to stay for the entire period of their agreement.

The closing date for nominations is July 29, 2025 @ 2 p.m..
