It’s fair to say that Jake Paul’s knockout was received with obvious satisfaction from a former UFC fighter.

Paul took on former heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua at the Kaseya Center in Miami earlier this month. Although the fight attracted a lot of attention, much of the buzz came from criticism and controversywith many pointing out the clear difference in skill level between the two fighters.

Many expected a violent ending for “The Problem Child,” and that prediction ultimately proved correct, even if it took longer than expected. Paul spent much of the fight circling and avoiding exchanges. In a bizarre twist, the YouTuber turned boxer even attempted 14 takedowns against Joshua.

Joshua steadily increased the pressure in the fifth round, and in the sixth a perfectly timed straight right hand via knockout decisively ended the fight. The punishment was severe, and it later turned out that Paul had suffered a broken jaw in two places.

Paul Felder reacts to Jake Paul’s KO loss

During a recent episode of the Do you believe me? podcast alongside UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping, Paul Felder shared his take on the boxing match between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua. The former UFC fighter admitted he took satisfaction in seeing “The Problem Child” knocked out, saying the outcome felt like a fitting conclusion.

“It was sweet justice,” Paul said. “I think he handled the defeat well. I think the fact that he got in, I’ll show some respect. But the world had quieted down for a moment when he finally finished. It was frustrating as hell, and I like that the commentators didn’t hold him back either. You know, this is basically his show, and they were like, ‘This is sh*t.’ Like, you can’t go out and run all the time and not engage. Who cares if you fight the best guys if you’re not actually going to box?

“When he got tired, he was forced to box him and we saw what happened. As soon as he slowed down and lined up his right hand, it was over. But I really started to worry that there would be a decision, and if it did, I was ready to throw something at my TV.”

The defeat marks just the second loss in Paul’s fourteen-fight boxing career. His first setback came in February 2023, when he dropped a split decision to Tommy Fury.
