One hunter that victor from UFC Shanghai emerged, says he never faded a glove -Touch.
The UFC Shanghai main event contained a light heavyweight tilt between Johnny Walker and Zhang Mingyang. There was a lot of buzz for Mingyang who went into the fight, and many thought this would be a win for making an overview for the Hone Country Hero. Walker had other plans and he provided a TKO finish in the second round.
At the start of the fight, Mingyang wanted to touch gloves. Instead, Walker stormed in and tried a Takedown. During an interview with Guilherme Cruz van Mmafighting.comWalker denied the intention to falsify a glove -Touch.

“We were always practicing that,” Walker said about the early removal. “In fact, I didn’t fake fake. I went there with my hand because we had already touched gloves before the fight started. Touch gloves, each back to their corner, and I didn’t even look at his face anymore. I went there with my hand hanging and shot for a Takedown. I didn’t go there to touch gloves.”
Walker said that, despite his upset victory on Mingyang, he felt a bit rusty in the Octagon. He said it led his timing to be eliminated until he was able to cut the legs of his opponent with stairs. Walker also admitted that if he allowed Mingyang to improve him in the striking department, he would have lost the fight in the first round.
The 32 fighting veteran believes that his patience has paid off at UFC Shanghai. He feels that he has grown up like a hunter by holding on to the strategy recorded by his team. While Walker has thrown his name in the hat for a fight on October 11 at UFC Rio, he will be satisfied if he can have a fight before 2025 ends.
