Former UFC champion Sean O’Malley has given an update about his future after rumors are spread over his next fight.
After successive losses to Merab Dvalishvili, Sean O’Malley is forced to go back to the drawing table and to evaluate exactly what went wrong. Now that we look ahead to his next steps, it is unclear whether he wants to continue at 135 pounds or go to featherweight.

Both are interesting options, but recently O’Malley is strongly connected to a fight against Song Yadong. In the past, Sean himself openly spoke about what he wants to do next, but without the official announcement of the UFC, no one was sure if it was legitimate or not.
In a recent podcast, O’Malley put the record right over his next move.
O’Malley looks ahead to the future
“Everyone and their grandmother send me the screenshots of Song Yadong vs. ‘Suga’, December 6,” said O’Malley on his podcast.
“People say:” Yo, congratulations. When does Fight Camp start? ‘I assume it started when the fighting was in China, Song took a photo with Merab and said he then fought me.
“To be honest, I don’t know what the plan is. There is nothing official by my side. I have not specifically spoke with the UFC about who, when and where.
“However, song seems like a great next opponent. It makes sense. I love the matchup. It seems good.
“As far as a date goes, December, January, February, F – ING November, I am ready to go. I am ready to go. Call me next week, and I will probably say that is too short. But I like the competition, it makes sense.
“I am healthy. I feel good. I train like a bastard – there. Again, I love that matchup. I vs. song, if that is what the next is, hell yes!”
