The UFC is rolling to Perth, Australia this weekend – or maybe we should say Limps.
UFC Perth, 2025 edition, was never a great card on paper, but it is besieged by injuries and disputes cancellations. Both Gebroeders Tafa, Justin and Junior, have withdrawn from the map, where Justin Tafa is taking its way on a weighing day. Oban Elliott was also forced to withdraw during the Vechtweek. DOO-Hoi Choi was previously forced from the event.
With zero offense on Jimmy Crute, who deserves to be where he is, a fight with the 0-2 Ivanslan should probably not be a co-main event. Yet here, with a map that looks more like an Apex event, we are on a map that fans has in the building (although how much can still be seen after countless reports about slow ticket sales).
That said, there is an important fight for the light heavyweight division on top of UFC Perth. Carlos Ulberg, a kickboxer in the city, has recently been one of the most popular hands at 205 pounds, putting together an eight-Vecht Win-Streak with a victory at ex-camp Jan Bachowicz. His opponent in Saturday’s headliner (well, Sunday Local), Dominick Reyes, is best known for a very close fight with the then camp Jones camp. After a four -legged slip that started with his loss against “Bones”, Reyes finally put together a few victories. Three, in fact, and the closing of Ulberg might be able to put it back in the title photo.
With Magomed Ankalaev vs. Alex Pereira 2 around the corner, this fight can simply produce the next title -Utendager in the light heavyweight division.
Our choices have been made for the UFC Perth head card, and here is how we see it playing.
Jimmy Crute, Jake Matthews and Jack Jenkins were unanimous selections among our team, while the main event is a little more, with Carlos Ulberg a small favorite. Yet it comes down to a pick them.
