Yan managed to hurt ‘The Machine’ several times, leaving the now former champion bloody and bruised after twenty-five minutes of exciting action.
UFC 323 was headlined by a men’s flyweight title fight that saw Joshua Van challenge Alexandre Pantoja. The match resulted in a terrible injury just 26 seconds into the opening round. After throwing a head kick that was partially blocked, Alexandre Pantoja fell back onto his hands. During that awkward fall, the Brazilian dislocated his elbow or broke his arm. It was a gruesome injury and one that left Bruce Buffer saying “And New” as Joshua Van got the TKO win.
