On Tuesday (October 7) the dra -racing program in Northville Downs in the Barry Expo Center, Two Birds Onestone (Black Daniels – Sheb Jebez), with driver Jennifer Main, won their fourth in a row since they came to the Oval of Hastings, Michigan.
In Race 10 in the afternoon, the Co-Featured $ 13,200 Open Pace for Male Pacers, Second Favorite Two Birds Onestone Alert departed from post 8, just like Post-Time Favorite Red Righthand Man N and Kody Massey from Post Five. The duo fought hard through the first quarter mile in 28.1. Red Righthand Man N finally handed over the lead to the external speedster when the pair opened half with 9 lengths on the other six participants in the race, which was clocked in 56.1.
When the field went to three -quarters in 1: 26.1, Red Righthand man n seemed to peak to the outside of the leader, but when they turned home, Two Birds Onestone was too strong and retained his lead throughout the entire piece and up to the finish. They finished as 1-2 in a final clock of 1: 55.2 on a track that was mentioned as well and with a much cooler air temperature than the two previous weeks.
The victory was the second open victory in a row for Two Birds Onestone and his fourth victory in a row in the Michigan Oval.
Two Birds Onestone is owned by Carl Putnam, Jr. And is trained by Steve Main. The five -year -old gelding has now earned $ 348,888 and achieved a record of 81 Starts, 34 wins, 12 seconds and 5 thirds.
Earlier on the program, Kings Sweetheart (Big Chocolate – Red Queen`s Image), owned, trained and controlled by David Lake, her own track record for an old trotmare from 2: 02.3 to 2: 00.4 in the first race, won with three lengths.
In the $ 13,200 Open Mares Pace, Mother Mary (Rockin Image – PV Miracle Mary) won at the front with two and a half length in 1: 56.3 for owner, trainer, driver and breeder Joe Casagranda. She just missed the track record for a four -year gangmie with a fifth of a second.
And in the $ 13,200 Open Trot, Bo Nanza Chip (Band`s Gold Chip – Betteka) deducted from the center package and won at the wire as a 9/2 upper hand with half a length of Travlin Swan (Art Mcilmurray) in 2: 00.3. Bo Nanza Chip is owned by JD Yoder and trained and controlled by Lavern Miller.
Drivers Jennifer Main and Kody Massey each had a riding tub on the program. Trainer Steve Main also had a training doubles that day.
