Luke Keaschall barely played last season, but he made sure his time on the field counted. The 23-year-old rookie played 49 games for the Minnesota Twins in 2025, but his numbers were impressive enough to earn an award.
The Twins’ X account reported that Keaschall was named to the All-Rookie First Team after compiling a 2.0 bWAR in just 207 plate appearances.

Keaschall joins Byron Buxton among the Twins award winners in 2025 after Buxton was awarded his first-ever Silver Slugger.
Keaschall had a hot start to his MLB career. He started a six-game hitting streak (7-for-19) with three doubles in April before getting injured, and wouldn’t see time in the Majors until August 5.
Then in August, Keaschall hit .305 in 23 games with four home runs, six doubles, 17 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He followed that up with a solid September, hitting .284 with nine RBIs.
Throughout his 2025 season, Keaschall’s slash line was .302/.382/.445/.827 with a 128+ OPS. He added 18 extra-base hits and stole 14 bases. As the Twins look to continue building their roster, fans are hoping to see more of Keaschall’s success once again. It was in small doses, but those 49 games were electric for the rookie. He won’t be eligible as a rookie next season, but we hope he continues to develop at the MLB level. He will certainly be a player to watch if he becomes a top second baseman in baseball in 2026.
