The Winston-Salem Open has awarded a two-time Grand Slam finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas a wildcard in the 2025 tournament. This will be the debut performance of the 12 times ATP Tour Champion in Winston-Salem.
“It is an honor to award a wildcard to a player of the caliber of Tsitsipas,” said Tournament Director Jeff Ryan. “He brings a world-class pedigree that contributes to our exciting 2025 players field, and we can’t wait to see him in action here in Winston-Salem.”
Tsitsipas reached a career-high ranking of World No. 3 in 2021 and finished in second place at the 2021 Roland Garros and 2023 Australian Open. He has one title in 2025 so far, claimed on the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships in February.
Tsitsipas agrees with a number of top 50 stars that would compete this year, including Retnuend Winston-Salem Open Champion Lorenzo Sonego and 2024 finalist Alex Michelsen.
