Trump Turnberry will welcome two new events in 2026, courtesy of 8AM Golf – the Scottsdale, Arizona-based holding company with more than a dozen golf brands in its portfolio, including GOLF.com, Miura and True Spec.

On Tuesday the company announced plans to host the next edition of the Bridges Cup and also a GOLF Top Teachers Summit at the iconic Scottish resort, which has hosted four Open Championships in addition to a Women’s Open, Senior Open, British Amateur and Walker Cup.

The Bridges Cup was founded in 2022 as a celebration of competition and camaraderie at the amateur level. The match play event features two 12-player mid-amateur teams – an American team versus an international team – playing four-ball, foursomes and singles over three days. Each team is hand-selected by the captains and consists of high-level amateur golfers with exceptional resumes. Previous editions of the Bridges Cup were played at the South Korean courses Haesley (2024) and Nine Bridges (2022) and Les Bordes in France (2023). The team from the United States has won all three editions.

The fourth match of the Bridges Cup will take place on Trump Turnberry’s Ailsa Course and the King Robert the Bruce Course.

Trump Turnberry has hosted four Open Championships and a Women’s Open.

“When the Bridges Cup was founded, there was immediate excitement around showcasing elite mid-amateur golfers who truly represent the game,” 8AM Golf CEO and President Hoyt McGarity said in a press release. “These are very talented players, but they are also the people you play with at great clubs around the world. That connection is what makes the competition special. We have been fortunate to visit incredible venues in South Korea and France, and we are truly grateful to now be able to bring The Bridges Cup to such an iconic venue as Trump Turnberry.”

In addition to the Bridges Cup, Turnberry will also host a site for a GOLF Top Teachers Summit, building on the annual US event recently held in Cabot citrus farms every December. The Top Teachers Summit in Turnberry complements the December meeting and provides an additional opportunity for qualified education professionals from around the world to meet in Scotland and learn from and exchange ideas with some of the best teachers in the sector.

“Our Top Teachers Summits have continued to grow, especially during the current gaming boom,” GOLF CEO Jason Adel said in the release. “We are proud to work with so many excellent education professionals and help share their knowledge with golfers around the world. Expanding the Summit to Scotland is a natural extension of that work. Trump Turnberry offers excellent facilities and amenities, including a world-class golf academy, and it gives our teachers an exceptional place to showcase their expertise and connect with their peers and students.”

Dates for both events will be announced soon.
