Washington DC / Moscow:

Almost three weeks after a disastrous encounter with the Ukrainian President Zensky in the White House meant to find a peaceful end to the many years of war in Ukraine, President Donald Trump today chose his Russian counterpart to put an end to the conflict.

Donald Trump, who called Vladimir Putin at 10 am Eastern Time (US), is still in a detailed conversation with the Russian leader. The phone call is still ongoing and it is more than two hours ago. “The call is going well and is still ongoing,” said the White House.

Both leaders negotiate ways to protect a ceasefire in the Eastern European conflict zone. Tens of thousands of life have so far been lost during the war that has been going on for more than three years.

Even before the Phonecall, President Trump had already made it clear that he was ready to discuss which parts of imprisoned Ukraine Russia can hold. Moscow and Washington are already talking about ‘distributing certain assets’, the US president had said this weekend.

European countries are afraid that President Trump, who has not hidden his admiration from Russian Putin, can agree to hand over too much Ukrainian territory to Russia. They are also very concerned that Ukraine is not consulted about decisions that can be agreed in contemporary Fonecall.

Since Zensky’s Oval Office confrontation with President Trump, Ukraine has agreed to stop the war for 30 days temporarily and to wage Dailogue with Russia, but President Putin has set a series of conditions that Moscow said it is non-commercial. And only if these guarantees can be provided, will Moscow and Kyiv be in front of conversations.

KYIV rejects a barrage of conditions set by Moscow and has said that Moscow expects “unconditionally” to accept the fires. “It’s time for Russia to show if it really wants peace,” had said the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga.

Vladimir Putin doubles the circumstances of Moscow and the rest of Europe, has said that each ceases -the Russia accepts, will only benefit Ukraine because his troops “steadily move forward” through Ukrainian territory.

President Putin has made it clear in non -secure terms that Moscow will never accept NATO troops that have been used as peace enforcement in Ukraine. Russia has sustained that it is because NATO comes to Ukraine in the first place, which led to the war. Putin also said that he expects the US to stop arming Ukraine to even consider every peace agreement.

On Sunday, two days before the Phonecall with Putin, Donald Trump said that he would discuss issues of “Land” and “Machtschapstars” with President Putin – a likely reference to the nuclear power plant of Zaporizhzhia, that the largest in Europe fell in the first days of war in Russia.

President Trump followed that on Monday with a position on his social media platform Truth Social that “many elements of a definitive agreement have been agreed, but much still has to be arranged.”

Conversations with Russia come “on a very critical phase,” he added.

The outcome of the Phonecall is expected.
