President Donald Trump of the United States said that Gaza’s children look “very hungry” while called on other nations to “step up” and offer more humanitarian aid.

During a trip to his golf course Turnberry, in Scotland, Mr Trump said that the United States had provided $ US 60 million for humanitarian aid, and other countries should contribute more.

He suggested that he did not agree with the assessment of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that there was no hunger in Gaza, and added that the UK and the European Union would be expected to strengthen the efforts of the help.

“The United States only a few weeks ago we gave $ 60 million – that is a lot of money. No other nation gave money,” said Mr. Trump as he was standing next to Mr Starmer in Scotland on Monday.

“Nobody even said ‘thanks’. Other countries will have to get up.”

The US President said he had spoken with President Ursula von der Leyen with the European Commission, who had confirmed that the EU is planning to “significantly” increase her help in Gaza.

When asked if he agrees with the assessment of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that there was no hunger in Gaza, Mr. Trump said: “Based on television, I would not say mainly because those children looked very hungry.

“Nobody has done anything big there, the whole place is a mess,” said Mr. Trump.

“They must now get food and safety.“

More than 100 humanitarian authorities have previously warned Palestinians in Gaza with mass hunger, while Israeli limitations on humanitarian aid had fueled food and other supplies.

Israel denies that his actions have caused a hunger crisis – instead blaming Hamas for the situation.

Palestinian health authorities say that 133 people died of hunger last week, including at least 87 children.

Mr. Trump said on Monday that he had spoken with Israeli officials and told them that they should do things in Gaza in a different way.

The American president’s comments came after he had previously suggested that Hamas had changed her position on the negotiations to ask the release of the 50 Israeli hostages who still held the group imprisoned in exchange for a cease-fire in the war-destroyed comic.

‘They recently and suddenly had a routine discussion [Hamas] Realized, “he said.

“They don’t want to give them back and so Israel has to make a decision.”

Stop service and hostages of negotiations between Israel and Hamas have collapsed, with the special envoy of the White House for the Midden -East Steve Witkoff that the militant group showed a “lack of desire to reach a deal.
