Saratoga Springs, NY – The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) today reminded fans of updated policy that is in force for Draftings Travers Day, Saturday 23 August, during the historic Saratoga Race Course.
First post for the 14-Race program is planned at 11:10 am with the Draftings Travers at 6:14 pm
Open access gates at a special time of 9 hours when fans can claim the free picnic tables in the back garden. There will be no access to track soils before 9 hours on the Travers Day of Stapkings. Both the parking spaces of the trackside and the Oklahoma open at 7 am
The club of 1863 will be opened at 9 am with dining rooms that are available for seats from 10 a.m.
Admission is $ 25 in advance and $ 30 on the Draftkings Travers Day. Tickets can be purchased personally at the NYRA Box Office by Gate A or Online on Nyra.com/travers (Service costs applicable online).*
Breakfast in Saratoga is not offered on Saturday, nor are BackStreffam Tours and Breakfast and Breeding Farm Tours. Breakfast rate will be available at the finish line grill concession up to and including 11 hours
A special concept of travers day -edition of Saratoga Live Will be broadcast on FS2 from noon. Fox Saratoga Saturday will present live coverage and analysis of the Draftings Travers Day Stakes Action from 3 to 6.30 p.m.
The double classic sovereignty of Godolphin will try to offer Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott with his first victory in the 156th course of the grade 1, $ 1.25 million drawn up travers, a 1/4-mile test for second-year students. Sovereignty will also look like only the fourth thoroughbred ever to wipe the Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes and Travers, and the first since Thunder Gulch completed the performance exactly 30 years ago.

Fans will enjoy free souvenir photo magnets, thanks to the spot photos, on the Jockey Silks Veranda from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Horse Sense, a popular family -friendly weekend attraction, offers fans the opportunity to meet and to pet a retired thoroughbred from 12:00 to 14:00
Free Bulleit samples will be available in the Woody Bulleit next to the arbor in Bulleit Bourbon Backyard, while Tres Agaves will serve his organic tequila from a vintage VW bus. Samples are available from 12 a.m. to 4 p.m., as long as stocks last, for those 21 years and older.
The Community Outreach Booth will present the work of the Backstretch Employee Service Team (Best), which is dedicated to providing health and wellness services to the Backstretch Community in New York Thoroughbred tracks.
The summer meeting on the historic Saratoga Race Course goes through Labor Day, Monday 1 September. Racing is held five days a week, Wednesday to Sunday, apart from the last week, when the meeting at Labor Day is closed.
