Maruti Suzuki is recalling 39,506 Grand Vitara units
A week earlier, Maruti Suzuki India said it is recalling 39,506 units of the Grand Vitara to inspect a possible problem in the fuel level indicator and warning light. The recalled units were manufactured between December 9, 2024 and April 29, 2025, according to a regulatory filing.
The company said the fuel level display in some vehicles may not indicate the correct level. It inspects and replaces the speedometer at no cost to the customer.
Maruti Suzuki said, “Affected vehicle owners will receive notification from Maruti Suzuki authorized dealer workshops free of charge for inspection and replacement of the defective part.”
Hyryder and Grand Vitara share platform
The Toyota Hyryder is a badged version of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. Both vehicles share the same platform and several mechanical components, including the chassis and engine options. Toyota sells the Hyryder with styling changes, including a separate front fascia, while the basic structure of the two models remains the same.
