Aston Villa and Chelsea both inquired about the midfielder’s availability in January, but Spurs rejected all approaches.
The 20-year-old has seen his role reduced this season, while injuries have also limited his minutes. Bergvall has started just 10 Premier League games during the current season. Despite this, Spurs see the Swedish midfielder as a player with enormous potential.
He joined from Djurgårdens in 2024 for a fee of £8.5 million, with Spurs reportedly beating off competition from Barcelona to land the then teenager.
The North Londoners are aware of the growing interest in Bergvall, with Liverpool also keeping an eye on his situation. According to FotbollDirekt, Spurs would only consider offers for Bergvall in excess of £57 million.
Tottenham’s hopes of keeping Bergvall could depend on their run-in. The defeat to Arsenal on Sunday extended their winless run to nine games in the Premier League, leaving Spurs just four points above the relegation places. Spurs have not been relegated from the top flight for 49 years.
