Kudus’ injury is worse than initially feared and Spurs are feeling light in attacking areas following his absence and the £35m sale of Brennan Johnson to Crystal Palace.
According to The TelegraphSpurs have money to spend this month and will prioritize a striker.
The north Londoners have been linked with Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush this season, leaving the Egyptian out of favour.
Marmoush has only started twice in the Premier League this season and the impending arrival of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth will further increase the competition.
Spurs were also interested in Semenyo, but could now take advantage of the player’s move to City with a move for Marmoush.
RB Leipzig teenager Yan Diomande is also an interesting player. Spurs are one of several sides keeping tabs on the 19-year-old amid his impressive performances this season. Manchester United also like Diomande, who has scored six times in 10 Bundesliga starts.
However, both Diomande and Marmoush are currently competing in the Africa Cup of Nations, postponing any potential chases.
