Former Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau bounced around practices for several teams and on Monday he was spotted with the rival Celtics.
“That was great to have Thibs. Obviously, they knocked us out last year,” Celtics star Jaylen Brown told reporters. “So for him to be able to give us some of the thoughts that he saw in that series and some of the things that they broke down in our staff, or even our team, helps us grow and learn from that.
“The fact that Thibs is here in our practice explaining some of the things he saw that helped them beat us, it only helps me get better, it only helps us get better. So I appreciate that.”
Knicks center Mitchell Robinson got a kick out of it.
He reposted a video of Brown talking about the visit on Instagram, writing: “bruhhh I’m crying this is the best thing I’ve seen all day.”

The message was preceded by six laughing emojis.
The Knicks defeated the Celtics in six games in their Eastern Conference semifinals last season before Tom Thibodeau was fired after failing to get the team to the NBA Finals.
