It’s Friday, the sun is warming up here in Thailand and it’s time for a weekly tip-themed raffle. Have a nice weekend!
Tip Friday: Stefan Andersson on Kajskjul 8, the new direct routes of SAS and sunken night trains
#1. Stefan Andersson at Kajskjul 8 in Gothenburg: La Gran Historia
My brother-in-law has done it again: created a captivating performance that blends music, history, personal anecdotes and acting to create a performance unlike anything most people have seen on stage. He is doing so well Stefan, which is also confirmed by the great reviews. The latest performance has its origins in a trip Stefan made to Spain during the pandemic:
You are sitting in a café in a sunny courtyard in Granada. A sun cat plays and dances on the wall. Then it disappears for a second. Appears again. Teases, seduces. You want to participate, you can’t resist, you follow, you dare. Suddenly you find yourself standing in front of the gate of one of Albayzin’s sun-drenched caves. With the Alhambra as a magical background in the corner of your eye. You stay. Meet the people, the music, the pride, the joy and a wealth independent of fortune.
Bookings for the show can be made via The website of Kajskjul 8, the show runs until March 7. In other words, I miss it by a hair, but I sincerely hope that the dates will be extended or that La Gran Historia will be performed again!
#2. The seven sisters
I veterinary surgeon that I’m probably the last to get the ball, but now (after a whole year!) I’ve finished the last part of the book series The Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley. The books are about seven adopted sisters and are set in different parts of the world. I’m often inspired and like to travel to different destinations based on different books – definitely a little extra this time! The books aren’t literary masterpieces or anything, but are generally quite entertaining.

I also miss both my mother and my own sisters (I have a lot of them!) a little extra when I read the books.
#3. SAS will launch new routes to Dubai and Thailand in winter 2026/2027

Yesterday there was a press release that SAS is launching three new long-haul flight routes for winter 2026/27. There were probably several of us who guessed Thailand and sure enough, it turned out like this:
- Copenhagen – Dubai flies daily between October 25, 2026 and March 27, 2027.
- Copenhagen – Phuket flies 2-3 times a week between December 9, 2026 and March 29, 2027.
- Copenhagen – Krabi flies twice a week between December 8, 2026 and March 28, 2027.
I’m coming Certainly to keep an eye out for tickets for the third option in the future. Do any of the lines appeal to you?
#4. Can we talk about the Swedish night trains?

‘The night trains here are so dirty and dilapidated that it is almost impossible to sell them’says Anette Karlsson, CEO of a company that sells Scandinavian package holidays to travel agencies around the world (read more in DN’s article ‘Sunny night trains scare tourists from Sweden’). Apparently the night trains in Norway and Finland are “fresh”, which makes these countries more attractive when trips need to be sold. And no, modern and fresh are NOT two words I would associate with the Swedish night trains I have booked over the years. I sincerely hope this gets resolved quickly!
#5. Grand Travel Prize
Yesterday the Grand Travel Award took place where a lot of prizes were awarded in the travel industry. Always nice to read who has won prizes, even though most of them are more or less expected. For example, this year’s tourist country was Thailand. Here you will find all prize winners.
