Last season, the very first father/son combination ever adorned an NBA field together. LeBron and Bronny James appeared together with the Lakers in the regular season opener of 2024-2025. Although they are the first, the older statesmen of the competition are often old enough to be the father of some young people who just enter the NBA. That certainly applies to the Timberwolves, which rotate both two of the oldest and two of the youngest players in their team.
The Wolves have 2 of the 8 oldest players
Hoopsrumors recently wrote a recent article about the 10 oldest and 10 youngest players In the NBA. The Timberwolves had two players at both ends of the age spectrum. They are particularly the only team with at least one player on every list.
Starting with the oldest: Joe Ingles is the seventh oldest player currently on an NBA selection. The 11-year-old veteran is now 38 years old and his birthday has recently passed on October 2. Ingles is preparing for his second season at Minnesota, after he has signed at the club again this season.
The next on the list, as the eighth oldest player, is Point Guard Mike Conley. He is only 9 days younger than Ingles, since he will be 38 on October 11. Conley becomes to participate in his 19th NBA season And could reach the milestone of two decades if he plays in 2026-2027. However, he is a free agent after the season, so it may be that a different team comes than the Timberwolves.
The six NBA players that are older than both Ingles and Conley are LeBron James (Lakers), Chris Paul (Clippers), Kyle Lowry (76ers), Garrett Temple (Raptors), Al Horford (Warriors) and Jeff Green (Rockets).
De Wolves also have 2 out of 7 youngest players
The ten youngest players in the NBA are all selections from the NBA Draft of 2025. That includes the 2 Draft-Picks from the Wolves.
The third youngest NBA player is the center of Joan Beringer. Beringer, selected as the 17th overall choice by Minnesota, will be 19 years old, shortly after the regular season starts. The French great man will try to find his way to the half of the attack before he is even twenty years old.
Rocco Zikarsky, another center, was taken from the NBA Draft of 2025 in the second round (45th overall). The 2.80 meter long young was born on July 11, 2006, which means that he is a little less than three months 19 years old. He is the seventh youngest player in the competition. Zikarsky has a mutual contract with Minnesota.
The only two players who are younger than Beringer are Cooper Flagg (Mavericks) and Noa Essengue (Bulls). Jeremiah Fears (Pelicans), Kaman Maluach (Suns) and Ace Bailey (Jazz) are also younger than Zikarsky.
