- These Moto Buds run earbuds are now AvaiALble on Amazon for $ 300.
- With a lot of bling factor, these earbuds do not skimp on the sound
- You definitely want to use the app and the custom EQ option to get the best sound of these earbuds.
I will be honest: when I first opened the box with the Moto Buds Loop with Crystals from Swarovski®I laughed. Why would someone want earplugs (especially that designed for active lifestyle) that are inlaid with crystals?
Also: one of the best pair of earplugs with high -quality sound I have tested are only $ 70
But then I believed that there are enough people who like a few earplugs with a little panache. Given that so many earplugs on the market look the same, why not?
Is it a marketing gimmick? Probably. Do they look forward to it? Yes. How do they sound? That’s the rub.
My experience
I want to lead with the price of these earbuds, which is currently $ 300 on Amazon. I am sure that the price is because of the bling, but you cannot exclude that the sound on these earplugs was made by Bose.

Before you say something, I am not the biggest fan of Bose. When I was an audio installation program, we had a saying that went: “No highlights, no lows, it must be Bose.” Since then, Bose has traveled a long way, but no matter how far they get, the Bose sound is clear. For many audiophiles, the Bose sound is exaggerated, which means that the music does not sound pure or as the artists mean to sound.
That’s not always A bad thing, but if you want accuracy, you want a sound that is not heavily processed.
The Moto Buds app must be considered a must.

Immediately from the port there was a firmware update, with which you can go for it via the Moto Buds Mobile App Android. At the time of this writing there is no Moto Buds app for iOS. The firmware update was completed very quickly and I was ready to go back to the app and see what I could do.
Within the EQ section you get 4 pre -set options: brilliant Treble, Basboost, Vocal Boost and Plat. Unfortunately, these presets are not very good (the brilliant Treble Mist Bas, the Basboost misses three -time, the vocal boost is too midrange heavy and the flat fog dynamics).

The only way to go is the adapted route, which offers a 10-bands EQ, so that you can become fairly grainy with your sound. I have adjusted the adjusted EQ option for my standard curve and plays on one of my Spotify playlists.
Even with the adapted EQ I felt that the sound was a bit of dynamic and the soundstage was a bit too narrow, so I decided to see which game mode would do.
That was the Sweet Spot.
I assumed that the game mode would only optimize the latency of the earplugs, but I was wrong. Swimming the game mode gave the earbuds a little more depth and the highlights and lows were more active and more accurate.
A piece of music in my current playlist is “Fall for Me” from Sleep Token. This is a (usually) vocal track, with all kinds of effects added to the voice of the ship. I discovered that the Moto Buds Loop Earplugs emphasized the voice fairly well and produced a really nice soundstage to separate the different effects of the voice. That special song was very nice because of these earbuds.

The next was “chemistry” from Rush. I have heard this track that sounds considerably better on other earbuds (especially the Denon Perl Pros). Most Rush -numbers place a pretty big demand on the low side (thanks to one of the greatest bassists of all time, Geddy Lee).
The Moto Buds runs well with the number with the number, but could have used a little more separation in the low side to occasionally distinguish the bass guitar of the bass drum. It was certainly not muddy at the bottom, but it could have used a bit more clarity.
That does not mean that every track suffered from a little muddy soil. Most tracks even came quite well with regard to Bas. There is a certain song that I like to listen to when I try to test the low end of earbuds and headphones, and that is tricycle, by Flim & The BBS.
This number was also used by the Audio -Seniurs I worked with when I installed sound systems. The bass line is very active and the bass drum exactly the right amount of spicy. If a few earplugs can take this melody well, they get my stamp of approval.
Also: one of the most compelling headphones I listened to was not made by Sonos or JBL
To my surprise, the Moto Buds earplugs presented the tricycle fairly well, with a smooth low end, fresh highlights and the right amount of midrange. Moreover, these earplugs in -taught by Kristal gave the song a fairly wide soundstage, so each of the instruments had its own space and never went together in the wrong ways.
ZDNet Purchasing advice
You must have the right style to pull these earplugs off. I mean, they have Swarovski crystals, making them more like earrings than earplugs. But if you like the look, you will also enjoy the sound of the Moto Buds Loop Producing earbuds.
If Bling is your thing, I would highly recommend these earbuds. They will not only impress others, they will impress you.
