A mother received a terminal diagnosis of the skin cancer after she was fired by doctors who said she had a holiday back.
As a precaution, Katie Cooper, 32, had removed a small freckle from Greater Manchester from a piece of skin behind her ear about seven years ago.
But about four years later she noticed that a small lump was formed in the same place.
Subsequent tests revealed that it was melanoma – the deadliest type of skin cancer that increases in young British.
The prognosis for the condition is good, cure with most patients, provided that the disease is caught early.
Doctors immediately removed Mrs. Cooper’s growth and told her she was cancer -free.
But the test did not end there for the civil servant and her family.
In March of this year, almost seven years after she noticed the freckles, she developed bizarre pain and pains.

But after a trip to a trip to Disneyland Paris, doctors assured her that it was probably ‘just a virus’ that she had picked up during her travels.
Yet it was not long before the mother of one bed bound and in ‘pain’ was.
After five weeks she did not get better and her pain persisted, so doctors did a scan.
They discovered that the melanoma had not only returned, but also aggressively spread over her body – her bones, spine, liver, lungs, abdominal wall and ovaries.
“It’s frightening. We had no idea and we just thought I was unwell. It blinded us, “said Mrs. Cooper.
“Discovering that it was also in my other organs, I knew it would be quite difficult from now on.”
In phases three and four – when the disease has spread to nearby tissues and organs or bones – the chance of survival is as low as 66 and 27 percent respectively.
She is now undergoing debilitating radiotherapy and immunotherapy treatment to manage her incurable condition.
Mrs. Cooper’s friend, Abi Smith, said they were told that the prognosis could only be a few months if the treatment does not work.
“If it works, they might get a 60 percent chance of 10 years,” she said.
“She has accepted the cancer, but when she thinks of her three -year -old daughter, Aurora, she really gets upset.
“She hopes she will be there for all her milestones.”

She added: ‘You know your body best. If you feel that something is wrong, then you are within your rights to ask and don’t be afraid to keep pushing to get those answers. ‘
A Gofundme has been launched to support the civil servant with medical and livelihood.
It requires a scary low number of sunburn – only five – to make you vulnerable to the condition that kills more than 2,000 people in the UK every year.
One in 35 men and one in 41 women in the UK will be diagnosed during their lives of melanoma skin cancer.
The most harmful type of sun rays are UVB that touches the outer layer of the skin (the epidermis) and causes most sunscreen, as well as UVA rays that penetrate much deeper and contribute to aging.
Both are ultraviolet, which means that they cause skin cancer.
A worrying 90 percent of the cases of skin cancer in the UK is a direct consequence of sunscreen and the use of tanning beds, according to cancer research.
