The broad intangible cultural heritage that acts as a background of Picasso’s experience returns through the hundred works that show a less well -known vision of this extraordinary teacher, in an eternal vital return to the Mediterranean roots and to the family and cultural origin that will accompany him to the end, which took place in April 1973.

An important part of the exhibition is devoted to the engravings that are meant to illustrate different literary works, from the classics to the creations of his friends. A section documents the important role of language in the work of Picasso, in which the word is the creative vehicle that is used to explain the origin and his memories through a surrealistic expression: the practice of automatic writing.
A wide selection of ceramics has been added to this. From 1946, Picasso has found a very creative universe to explore in this Millennial technique. In the Malaga of his youth, where Picasso meets the ceramic workshops near the parental home, his father José Ruiz Blasco, Professor of the City Museum is his first teacher, allowing the artistic qualities of the Little Pablo and developing.
