It was recently announced that Malik Beasley is no longer under federal research. This opens a free agent -target for many teams in the competition. Although signing Beasley is not logical for the Minnesota Timberwolves, this does not mean that he would not fit in with multiple teams in the competition.

One of those teams that Beasley is logical is the New York Knicks, which have been linked to him since the update of his research. Michael Scotto van Hoopshype reported that the Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers are interested in Beasley. Scotto also noticed on the Beasley connection with KNICKS director Gersson Rosas, who signed Beasley for a four-year-old deal with the Timberwolves in 2020.

Given Beasley’s connection with Rosas and the need of Knicks to bank scores, this seems like a perfect fit. Beasley was able to watch again to draw at the Detroit Pistons, who still have an open grid place. However, if he goes somewhere else, the Knicks seem to be the front runners to sign him.

Beasley -End with the Knicks is logical for both parties

Beasley is undoubtedly a high -quality player. He comes from a season in which he had an average of 16.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists at 43/41.6/67.9 shooting splits. In particular, he finished second in the Sixth Man of the Year votes and arranged in second place in Made 3-Pointers. Beasley previously spent two and a half seasons with the T-wolves, where he had an average of 15.1 points while he shot 38.9 percent from outside. Rosas, the then wolves president of Basketball Operations, exchanged Beasley on the 2020 deadline and later signed him again.

Beasley was later traded to the Utah Jazz as part of the Rudy Gobert trade in 2022. He spent time with Jazz, Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks before he ended up in Detroit.

Anyway, Beasley’s microwave score would fit it perfectly in New York, and it is clear that Rosas has always liked him. The Knicks are the last death in bench points last season, so there is a need for more scoring and 3-point shooting from the bank.

New York signed Jordan Clarkson this season out of season, which is a similar form of Beasley. However, Beasley is a much more productive version of Clarkson, and the bank of the Knicks can still use some reinforcements. Beasley would play a similar role as Donte Divincenzo, who flourished with the Knicks before being traded to Minnesota.

It is crucial that the knicks still have three open grid spots, making it realistic to signing Beasley. They should sign Beasley for a minimum contract, but a deal is probably that all 28-year-old would come at the moment. Playing for a team with real title ambitions would be ideal for Beasley. This would give him the chance to prove his elite value and the ability to contribute to winning basketball, so that he eventually set up a huge payment day in 2026.

Unfortunately, his research Beasley cost a large payment day this summer. Nevertheless, the Knicks Beasley offer a clear opportunity to rebuild its value on an elite team.
