Miami – Aaron Judge is spending this weekend on both coasts of Florida to bring him closer to a return to the Yankees.
While he brought himself back from a right elbow flexor voltage, Judge took for the first time since the landing on the injured list on Friday in Loandewot Park on the field in Loandewot Park.
The plan is that he will do this again on Saturday before he goes to the Yankees Player Development Complex in Tampa on Sunday to take a few days of living.
“Hopefully bringing in a position to be activated on Tuesday or Wednesday,” said Aaron Boone manager before Friday, back and forth 13-12 loss to the Marlins.
Tuesday is the earliest judge can be activated from the injured list. If he is, he will be strictly DH’ing for the time being because he does not have to throw again.
Saturday marks a week in the throwing of the judge of 10-14 days.
Giancarlo Stanton got a little more work in the outfield before the Friday game, although it remains dubious whether the DH will actually play a match there, especially given the elbow problems that he still manages and the leg injuries that he has cost him in recent seasons.
Stanton ended the Friday 1-Uit-5 match with a three-run home run and two strikeouts.
The Yankees took over three relievers on Thursday to strengthen their bull pen, but they are all right hands.
Tim Hill has been the only Lefty in the Bullpen for a large part of the season, although Lefty Brent Headrick has recently opened some eyes with the way he has thrown the ball since he was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Headrick recorded five outs on Monday (with three strikeouts) and four on Wednesday (with three more strikeouts) while the Yankees try to find the right role for him where he can hold his fastball speed.
“Swing and miss and really efficient,” said Boone. “Filling the zone. That first night he got five outs in fewer than 20 lines, with punchouts. It was encouraging what we saw his first two in this passage.”
On Friday, Headrick threw around a walk in a scoreless sixth inning before handing the ball to Jake Bird, David Bednar and Camilo Doval, who together allow nine points in a general terrible game for the Yankees bullpen.
Mark Leiter Jr. (Left Fibular Head Stress Fracture) The live Batting session on Thursday was good until Thursday and is expected to throw this weekend in a rehabilitation match before being activated during the Rangers series next week.
