In the latter category is 20-year-old Eduardo Quintero, who offers plenty of upside, although his Major League debut is still on the horizon compared to Zyhir Hope or Josue De Paula.
Quintero, originally a catcher from Venezuela, was moved to center field because of his athletic profile.
At 6-foot-4 and 175 pounds, he has a promising frame to grow into as an adult, which the Dodgers believe would be best served as an outfielder.
He signed with the Dodgers in 2023 on a $297,500 international amateur free agency contract.

ESPN has Quintero at No. 37 overall and the Dodgers’ second overall prospect.
The Athletics is the top outlet for Quintero heading into the 2026 season, ranking him ninth overall and as the best option for the Dodgers.
FanGraph has Quintero as the third prospect for the Dodgers overall.
How did Eduardo Quintero do in 2025?
Quintero split his time between Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and High-A Great Lakes. He was a monster with Rancho, hitting .306/.426/.533 with 14 home runs and 53 RBIs, along with 35 stolen bases.
It was a very impressive campaign in which he was promoted to the Great Lakes, where he quickly established himself. He hit .259/.384/.440 for a total of five home runs and 16 RBIs.
Since entering rookie ball in 2024, Quintero has quickly risen through the ranks. He is now on the eve of Double-A, a real test for him.

MLB Pipeline projects Quintero to be ready for the Dodgers in 2028, as does FanGraphs. His meteoric rise suggests he could get there sooner if he continues to rank up and adapt quickly.
Here are the thoughts of Doug McKain of Dodgers Nation, who lent his eye to a scouting report based on what he saw.
“He started out as a catcher but has since moved to the outfield because of his advanced arm and athleticism. He has the most complete tools of any of the Dodgers’ top players,” McKain said of Quintero.
“He is a rare plus-hitter, plus defenseman, with above-average speed. As he grew as a hitter, he continued to improve his plate discipline and strike zone awareness. He walked an impressive 88, which was the fourth-most for any minor league teenager.”
“He can drive the ball to all fields. He has the potential to be a 20-30 home run hitter if he continues to develop. 2026 will be a pivotal year for him to see if his tools translate to the next level.”
