The semi -finalists of the ABN Amro Hockey -weekend have been announced. For the ladies, SCHC, Pinoké, Tilburg and Kampong play for the prizes. For the men, Bloemendaal, Oranje-Rood, Pinoké and Rotterdam came on top. The semi -final will be played on the fields of Kampong and Schaerweijde on Friday. The final will be played in Utrecht on Sunday.
The ladies of SCHC and Pinoké had to play two two -a half hours of hours to reach the last four. SCHC won from HGC (3-2) and defeated Bloemendaal after shoot-outs (1-1 after thirty minutes). Pinoké settled with HDM (3-0) and lost to Rotterdam (1-1) after shoot-outs. For Tilburg, the 3-1 victory over Oranje-Rood was sufficient to reach the semi-final. Exactly the same version was supplied by Kampong against Hurley, who also won 3-1. For the ladies, ten of the twelve big league teams participate in the traditional preparation tournament, which is why the Polish were not well filled.
Everyone had a full schedule in the men’s tournament. That was also due to replacement team Braxgata. The Belgians replaced Amsterdam, who will participate next weekend. The national champion will not play for the prizes, because the Orange-Rood won the group thanks to an extremely productive Struan Walker. The Scottish newcomer scored four goals on Sunday, good for all production of Eindhoven in the Games with Den Bosch (1-0) and Braxgata (3-2).
Bloemendaal has advanced thanks to two narrow victories on Schaerweijde and Klein Switzerland. Both duels ended 1-0. Pinoké won from Kampong (1-0) and Laren (2-1). Rotterdam defeated HDM (1-0) early in the afternoon, but then lost Van Hurley (1-1) via shoot-outs. However, the four points obtained proved sufficient for group gains.
