The situation of Jonathan Kuminga-Warriors could finally have a resolution.
The talented attacker, who is still a limited free agent, because training camp appears before the end of September, weighs the qualifying range of Golden State $ 7.9 million for the 2025-26 season after the negotiations about contract extension have reached a stop.
His agent, Aaron Turner, the podcast told “Hoop Collective” On Friday, Kuminga is willing to close the annual deal if the Warriors do not adjust their offer to a player option.
The Warriors reportedly presented three contract deals to Kuminga: a three -year -old, $ 75.2 million deal with a team option for the third year, a two -year -old, $ 45 million deal with a team option for the second year and a three -year -old $ 54 million deal without options.
Kuminga has rejected all these offers.
It seems that the former G -competition striking will, more money, more agency – in the name of a player option above a team option – or both.
If he accepts the qualifying offer, Kuminga would earn $ 7.9 million for one season and will be an unlimited free agent in 2026.
In addition, Kuminga would take a huge wage reduction compared to any offer, but in exchange he would get a no-trade clause and the possibility to sign with every team he wants in a year.

In 2026, it is expected that at least six teams will have a CAP room available, and of course a drawing and trade can open more options in theory.
Allegedly, Kuminga has not been happy for a while in Golden State, who at some point appeared in a public feud with Steve Kerr about issues related to playing time and his role.
Kuminga limited to 47 games last season, but he was on average north of 15 points per match for a second consecutive year, and did this in just over 24 minutes per match.
Despite the introduction of the play -offs from the rotation after the season, Kuminga became a fixed value in the attack by Golden State in their journey to the semi -final of the Western Conference.
In particular, he stepped up to an average of 24.3 points in the second round against the praised Timberwolves defense in the four games that Stephen Curry missed because of a left hamstring tribe.
Kuminga, who turns 23 in October, was selected in the NBA design of 2021 No. 7 and will start his fifth NBA season this fall.
