According to GlobalStatsManchester City striker Erling Haaland is the highest-paid footballer in the major European leagues.
The Norwegian’s pay package at the Etihad is reportedly just over half a million a week (£525,000), which puts him marginally higher than Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe (£518,137).
Mohamed Salah is the second highest paid player in English football. The 33-year-old signed a new two-year contract with Liverpool last summer, worth £400,000 per week. Teammate Virgil van Dijk (£350,000) and Manchester United midfielder Casemiro (£350,000) are also included in the top 10.
Harry Kane is the highest-paid English player. The Bayern Munich striker reportedly takes home a weekly wage of £414,509 from the German champions.
Interestingly, five of the ten biggest contracts in Europe’s five biggest leagues expire at the end of the current season.
Casemiro’s contract expires this summer, while David Alaba, Dusan Vlahovic, Manuel Neuer and Robert Lewandowsi are also nearing the end of their lucrative contracts.
