Some were gutted and some…claimed they were ecstatic to have been knocked out of the FA Cup.
Newcastle United won 3-1 despite the appalling match officials.

Fair play to Newcastle, they are a good side and they managed to find a way to pick us apart and make the lead count. Good luck to them in the next round. It was a match decided by a good referee decision that might otherwise have been dominated by a bad decision, so I think they will see it as a bit of a deserved win.”
