‘The Great and the Good’ – FPL Gameweek 3 Review

Fantasy Football Scout Community writer Greyhead returns before 2025/26 with his series of the Great and the good articles, which analyze the transfers and strategies of some well -known Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers.

The big and the good this season are the FPL Pedfather Mark SuthernsThe Blackbox pair of The And Andy NorthScouts FPL General” Joe And TomThe FPL wire trio of Nasty” Silent And ZopharFPL celebrities FPL Harry” Martin Baker” Pingrene” FPL Frasier And Luke Williams” Ben Crellin” Fabio Borges And Tom Dollimore Van de Hall of Fame, plus of course, last year’s mini league winner House E.

“Things can only get better”

No pain, no profit. But maybe a little profit would be fun. Nothing too dramatic. The only thing we ask for is a week without injuries, the rather impenetrable 24/25 version of the Nottingham Forest Defense and Florian Wirtz (£ 8.4 million) actually do something, everything, to justify his hype for the season. And while we are working on it, where are all this defensive contribution (Defcon) points?

Yet the international break is on us and more importantly the Deadline Day of the transfer, which, while typing this, already causes chaos with the aforementioned Marc Guiu (£ 4.4 million) No longer the Bench Boost gift we hoped for, Jorgen Strand Larsen (£ 6.5 million) refuse to get out of the team bus and now Alexander Isaac‘s (£ 10.4 million) move to Liverpool, which will undoubtedly lead to many FPL columns inches in the coming weeks.

Among all this, chips are played when we all adapt to this new world of FPL. General went on with a wildcard, while Fabio Borges showed a reckless side while playing his free hit.

General performance

Joe Lepper was this week’s star artist and collected 72 points of some less obvious places, including Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (£ 5.0 million) and Tosin Adarabiyo (£ 4.5 million). These contributions supplemented his wise transfers from Bruno Fernandes (£ 9.0 m) and Joao Pedro (£ 7.7 million).

Yet he is not the top of the great and the good if that honor goes to the new boy Huss e, who won open last year for all Feeder League and now takes first place in the senior competition with his secret weapon Lucas -package (£ 5.9 million).

In other news there was a lot of excitement when Fabio Borges played his free hit (see below). It was not a overwhelming success with a triple up on Nottingham Forest, very little, and he would have done it better if he had one of his Manchester united midfielders Matheus Cunha (£ 8.1 million).

Fabio Borges Free Hit

In fact, Cunha was just as popular as a well -outed egg paper as he got the bracelet with five of the big and the good, and then hobby in the first half. There were quite a number of variation in bracelet choices this week, where the Bruno -band was the self -satisfied, although Andy North will undoubtedly have awarded himself a chufty badge to go with Joao Pedro.

FPL General Yoker Sign

Nobody had a good start; FPL General, however, saw enough to press the revision button in Gameweek 3. Undoubtedly, the injuries also had a part to play.

He continues to hold on to his no Mohamed is wrong (£ 14.5 million)/no Erling (£ 14.1 million) Mandate, which gives him a very healthy -looking team and bank balance while leaving £ 4.6 million in reserve. He only kept Tijjani Reijnders (£ 5.7 million), Pedro Porro (£ 5.6 million), Chris Wood (£ 7.7 million), Joachim Andersen (£ 4.5 million), and of course the favorite £ 4.0 million of everyone Martin Dubravka.

He has become strong at the back Daniel Munoz (£ 5.5 million), Marc Cucurella (£ 6.1 million) and Virgil van Dijk (£ 6.0 million) Participate in Porro. I suspect that 4-3-3 will be his favorite formation, because Wood and Pedro are accompanied by a suddenly very popular Viktor (£ 9.0 million) – The algorithm has spoken. As for his midfield, well, he will have nightmares about Cunha about Fernandes.

Overlooked

There was a lot of transfer activity this week, where Tom and Mark even took hits. Neither of the Wont, so it was left to Joe to take the Wheeler dealer title, because his movements for Fernandes and Pedro immediately returned.

Cunha and Gyokees were the most popular choices, while AZ went his own way, Anthony Luna (£ 7.0 million) and Morgan Gibbs-White (£ 7.5 million), who were smart movements on their day, but simply not on this day.

The full list of transfers is below.

TEMPLATE

A small threat in the template, which is clear, does not seem to work so well this season, with Cristian Romero (£ 5.0 million) for Chris Richards (£ 4.5 million) and Cunha for the injured Cole Palmer (£ 10.4 million), which was subsequently injured.

Money, money

A quick glance at the cash flow now, because we are already remarkably seeing a difference of £ 1.3 million in team value between the lowest, Joe Lepper (£ 99.6 million) and the highest, FPL General (£ 100.9 million).

As always, Mark Sutherns seems determined to maintain a high team value. He made all three of his transfers on Monday evening, who sees him up to £ 100.6 million. It just didn’t translate into points.

Conclusion

Another challenging weekend for many and after a number of aggressive movements across the board. Perhaps the increase in chips and continuous ability to roll transfers is preferred, but so far there seems to have not been much reward.

Anyway, that is all mine for the time being, and remember that I don’t have FPL nightmares.
