Role and responsibilities
About the role:
The General Manager/COO will supervise all daily activities of the Farm & Forge Club and ensures a high -quality experience for members, families, athletes and staff. This role requires that someone is very organized and hospitality-minded, with proven success that manage athletic or welfare-oriented facilities. You work closely with the office of the heads of the president and the department (ie tennis, sparc and facilities and education) to guarantee smooth coordination about tennis, performance training, education, events and facility maintenance. The General Manager/COO function will report to the President’s office and will collaborate with the President’s office for large business decisions, such as implementing a new sport, organizing a large event, personnel and P&L decisions.
The General Manager/COO will have the responsibility for the following:
- Provide supervision of daily activities in all departments and ensure high standards for safety, compliance and general experience-de GM/COO is responsible for all operational decision-making and results for the club
- Management and coach A team of executive directors in Tennis, SPARC and Facilities and Education -the GM/COO coordinates with the President’s office, if applicable, in departmental compensation, benefits, performance assessment, disciplinary and other important personnel actions, to ensure that the Farm & Forge -Club.
- Ensure that programs are sufficiently staffed, with clear standards for performance and performance statistics
- Create systems and feedback klussen to support an excellent experience of parent and student athlete
- Prepare protocols that ensure a culture of safety, well -being and professionalism
- Ensure that all athletic and educational programs meet local, national and federal requirements
- Ultimately responsible for the approval of contracts and general cost management and generating income to achieve the “brand” goals – Office of the President will also help with large contracts and generating income
- Collaborating with the president’s office to ensure that adequate capital planning and funds are granted and managed accordingly – the ability to work with the president’s office as a sound board and issues of a policy carpet, alternatives, as well as benefits and disadvantages of the club

Main responsibilities:
Facility and program Supervision:
● Supervising the daily activities of the entire facility, including tennis courts, fitness rooms, classrooms and fields
● Supporting the delivery of top experiences in all programs (Juice DataTiek, Fitness for Adults, Education)
● Ensure that all areas are clean, organized and meet the safety and compliance standards
● Coordinate with department heads on planning, space use and program needs
Team leadership and culture:
- Managing frontline staff, planning and coaching, including reception, operations, ground staff, maintenance, IT and part -time support
- Promote a hospitable, efficient and service -oriented environment
- Work closely with executive directors of Tennis, SPARC and Education to guarantee clear communication and consistent standards
- Hiring support staff, onboarding and training processes
Member experience and communication:
- Serve as a primary contact point for members of the member, facility problems and recovery of the service
- Maintenance member communication (E -mail, planning, signage, app reports) and collaborate with marketing to promote events and updates
- Assisting with member of members and orientation
Operations, systems and administration:
- Owns the Facility Management Calendar, Delivery Inventory and Supplier Relations
- Ensure that technology systems are optimized and used consistently by staff
- Support Basic HR, Payroll and Operational Workflows
- Work together with the president’s office on budgeting and financial reporting
Qualifications and experience
Required:
● Extensive proven experience in operations, wellness, fitness or youth dathatlete programs
● Proven experience in managing teams and facility activities in a club, gym or recreational setting
● Business insight, with comfortable and strong fame with P&L management, budgeting, purchasing and planning and development of workforce.
● Strong skills for customer service and conflict solution
● Excellent skills for organizational and time management
● Comfort using planning, member management and operational tools
● CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
● Experience in event coordination, membership growth or community involvement
● Interest or background in performance training, health and well -being, or education
● Possibility of working flexible hours, including incidental evenings or weekends if necessary
Preference:
● Experience with the use of club automation
● Background when managing both youth and adult programs
Potential candidates will have a strong academic background, including a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent year of experience). A diploma or equivalent, including suitable professional certification (s), is highly appreciated, but is not a requirement. Skill in multiple languages is cheap (with English as the primary language).
