The special representation of the American Constitution in the National Archives is extended as a result of the importance of the public.

The special representation of the American Constitution in the National Archives in DC is expanded as a result of the importance of the public.

The exhibition – now runs until October 9 – was displayed on September 17, because it was the first time that all five pages of the document were shown to the public. It was presented on the same day that Americans celebrated the day of the Constitution.

In addition, the original Bill of Rights, together with the 17 Constitutional changes, were presented in National Archives Building in DC

That fifth page – known as the Transmittale page – was the explanation of how the articles of the Constitution should be implemented.

Earlier, the 11th to 27th amendments, including the 13th that slavery abolished, was kept in conference reports. But conservation staff removed them to do conservation work to be displayed.

The National Archives has extended its hours until 7 p.m. this weekend until 6 p.m. next weekend.

During the week you can view the documents during normal archives -hours from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
