They had originally planned a challenge of 13 weeks for the 1 Owen Lane Residence, hoping to be ready for the market at the end of July.
However, progress was partially delayed by a holiday to Europe.
Unlike the Channel 9 show, the duo has attracted considerably fewer viewers with their weekly messages.
Between 2000 and 8000 they have views per video on their YouTube channel.
It is the fourth Reno they did in Newcastle.
