The best scoring summer signings in the Premier League

New signings always want to get off to a good start, especially those in attack zones. Several new signings have adapted impressively in the 2025/26 Premier League season, but which new signing has scored the most goals?

We’ve ranked the highest-scoring new signings in the Premier League so far this season.

Nick Woltemade – Newcastle (5)

Newcastle needed their big summer signing to hit the ground running after losing Alexander Isak to Liverpool in a £125 million British recording contract. While Isak has struggled to establish himself at Liverpool, scoring just once in the Premier League, Woltemade has become a fan favorite at St James’ Park.

The German giants have scored five times in the Premier League and two more in the League Cup and Champions League. A costly own goal in last weekend’s Tyne-Wear derby was a setback, but Woltemade is looking good for Newcastle, even at the club record fee.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin – Leeds United (5)

Leeds United snapped up Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the summer and signed the striker from Everton on a free transfer. Calvert-Lewin’s final spell at Everton was decimated by injury problems and loss of form as he scored just three league goals in 26 games last season.

The 28-year-old has already improved on that return at Elland Road by scoring five times. He has scored in each of his last four games for Daniel Farke’s side, with the Leeds head coach even suggesting an England recall won’t happen until after the summer signing. Calvert-Lewin won the last of his eleven international matches in July 2021.

Bryan Mbeumo – Manchester United (6)

Manchester United spent more than £200 million on an overhaul of their front line last summer, signing Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo for big sums.

The latter was signed after a career-best season at Brentford, which saw the Cameroonian winger score 20 times in the Premier League. Signing a proven Premier League talent has certainly been a wise move, with Mbeumo scoring six league goals and seven in all competitions. No Manchester United player has scored more goals this season.

Hugo Ekitike – Liverpool (7)

Hugo Ekitike is the highest scoring new signing in the Premier League so far this season. Much of the fuss centered around the summer signings of Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak, but Ekitike was the best of Liverpool’s summer signings.

The Frenchman marked his debut with a goal in the Community Shield and also scored his league win for the Reds.

Back-to-back braces have taken Ekitike to 10th in all competitions in recent weeks and cemented the 23-year-old as Liverpool’s main striker.
