It has been an international break to celebrate for a few Premier League stars, with Liverpool Vooruit Hugo Ekitike and Nottingham Forest -Midfielder Elliot Anderson among them to make their international debut.
England’s top flight is strewn with internationals, but there is still a lot of talent to make the breakthrough for their countries. We have chosen five of the best not -geecapped Premier League players.
Harvey Elliott – Aston Villa
Harvey Elliott seemed to be at youth level for England, but is unable to force a route to the higher side. Limited minutes in Liverpool have been a contributing factor, although a deadline day relocation to Aston Villa Elliott could hand over the normal opportunities he needs to impress Thomas Tuchel.

The 22-year-old was named player of the tournament when England won the U-9 European Championship in the summer and was closely monitored by the senior set-up.
However, the competition for a place is fierce, with Cole Palmer, Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke and Jarrod Bowen who all operate from comparable areas of the field.
Jean-Philippe Mateta-Crystal Palace
After a modest start of his career at Crystal Palace, Jean-Phillipe Mateta has evolved into one of the most reliable goal scorers in the division. The Frenchman scored 30 goals for the Eagles the last two Premier League seasons and was an important part of their 2024/25 FA Cup success.
The 28-year-old represented France at youth level and played as an overage player during the silver-medal site of Les Bleus at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. He scored seven times in eight performances for the Olympic side, but still has to earn a senior call-up.

Maxence Lacroix – Crystal Palace
Another Frenchman in Crystal Palace offers to break into one of the most talented squadrons in world football. Lacroix has been impressive since he moved from Wolfsburg to South, where his anticipation and recovery pace were noticed. Last season he was one of the top performers of the Premier League for approvals (7th) and intercepting (6th). In April he said with confidence that he believes that there will be a France call-up.
“One day I will be in a national team-I know. But at the moment it is to look at what is happening in Crystal Palace,” said the middle behind.
Nico Gonzalez – Manchester City
In the past two decades, Spain has produced a conveyor belt of top -class midfielders, with their engine room options the envy of world football.
Nico Gonzalez still has to earn a senior call-up, even though it is regularly displayed at U-9 level. After an overwhelming start in Manchester City, the 23-year-old will hope that a more regular role can lead to international awards. Leny Yoro – Manchester United
The third Frenchman who opens, there are many who feel an international call for Leny Yoro is a matter of when and not if. Yoro has shown his potential in Manchester United despite a turbulent period for the Red Devils since his arrival from Lille last summer.
Sven Botman – Newcastle United
The Dutch defense is stacked with talent, so Sven Botman is still waiting for a first performance. He was previously called in the senior team, but has yet to earn his first limit for the Orange.
