On Saturday, March 8, on the occasion of the carnival, the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum is organizing an original dance in the Renaissance theme costume, The Ball of the Moon.
The event is an exclusive evening that has formed the charm of the Renaissance with the lively atmosphere of the carnival, in the suggestive setting of one of the most elegant Milanese buildings.
The party
The event will offer a journey through time to discover the glory of Milan Sforzesca and Renaissance, who reminds itself of the figures of Ludovico Il Moro, Beatrice d’Este, Leonardo da Vinci and Donato Bramante. Guests will be invited to wear lush vintage clothing and immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere of the court, between shows of jesters and acrobats, dances and entertainment of historical inspiration.
The evening starts with a welcome in style, with a red carpet and photo shoot for guests, followed by a refined buffet inspired by Renaissance bankets and a selection of bubbles and cocktails made for the occasion. The event will be enriched with artistic versions and entertainment moments that will make the experience unique and memorable.
The temporary exhibition of original medals
To further decorate the evening, the museum organizes a temporary exhibition of original medals from the second half of the nineteenth century, built to celebrate carnival dancing and the most iconic masks of that time. The project, compiled in collaboration with the School of Cultural Heritage of the Brera Academy, will offer a historical study into one of the most fascinating traditions of the carnival.
