According to the National Weather Service, two snow waves will blow snow through Colorado.
The first wave is expected to start on Thursday afternoon in the mountains of Colorado and continue a night, spread to the front series, eastern plains and metro area. A second wave of BergSneeuw starts on Friday afternoon, Said predictors.
Several winter weather advice is in force from 3 p.m. from Thursday to 11 p.m. Friday, According to NWS forelators. The advice includes Rocky Mountain National Park, the Medicine Bow Mountain Range, the Mosquito Range, the Indian Peaks and the Mountains of Summit County.
From Thursday morning, Snow prognoses involve:
- Up to 1 inch snow in Denver and on Denver International Airport
- Between 2 and 8 inch snow in Winter Park, Vail and the Netherlands
- Pass through 2 and 7 centimeters of snow on the American rabbit ears
- Between 3 and 7 inch snow on Interstate 70 at the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnel
- Between 2 and 6 centimeters of snow in Estes Park, Evergreen, Fairplay and Frisco
- Up to 2 centimeters of snow on the northeast corner of the eastern plains
When snow touches the metro area, Nws forelators said It starts as rain around 4 p.m. on Thursday and turns to snow after 11 p.m. until Friday morning.
Rain and snow is expected to start on Thursday at about 2 p.m. in the mountains and continue until 8 am Friday, said predictors. Snow will then restart on Friday afternoon and last until 11 p.m.
