Rio Ngumoha wrote his name in the record books on Monday evening after scoring his Premier League debut for Liverpool.
The 16-year-old yielded a dramatic winner in the stopping time against Newcastle and achieved a 3-2 victory for the Premier League champions in St James’ Park.
Ngumoha is the youngest Premier League goalkeeper of Liverpool ever and only the fourth U-17 player in the division.

After impressing the club’s tour, the winger has now demonstrated that he has the quality and mentality to have an impact of the first team. Introduced with a few minutes to go, he hit home from the center of Mohamed Salah to seal all three points for the Reds.
It is only the second time that a 16-year-old has scored a winning goal in the Premier League, after the famous effort of Wayne Rooney for Everton against Arsenal in 2002.
