Jose Corniell
After an impressive return from Tommy John Surgery, the 22-year-old Pitching Prast Jose Corniell was promoted to the Triple-A branch of the Texas Rangers, the Round Rock Express.

The Texas Rangers have promoted top perspective Jose Corniell from the Double-a Frisco Roughriders to the Triple-a Round Rock Express.
This promotion is an important step for Corniell, which returns from Tommy John Surgery.
Corniell, who turned 22 in June, missed the entire season of 2024 and the beginning of 2025 because of the procedure.
His comeback was downright remarkable. In 2023 he settled as one of the top arms of the organization and placed an ERA of 2.92 over 101 innings for the Down East Wood Ducks and the Hickory Crawdads.
His great performance earned him the prestigious 2023 Nolan Ryan Minor League Pitcher of the Year Award.
Dominant performance and potential MLB debut
Corniell started his return with four Rehab performances in the Arizona Complex League in July before he came to the Roughriders.
Since his debut on July 19 with Frisco, he is dominant, so that only two points (one earned) on five hits and only one walk over 20 innings allow. His exceptional 20: 1 Strikeout-to-Walk Ratio emphasizes his elite command and effectiveness.
A key factor in his fast-track promotion is that Corniell is already in the 40-man Roster of Rangers, making him an excellent candidate for a potential major League call-up.
With September here it is not excluded that the team could appear one or two in the large competitions before the season concludes.
Corniell was originally taken over by the Rangers of the Seattle Mariners after the 2020 season in an exchange for RAFAEL MONTERO Reliever.
