The Orioles announced that Infielder/Outfielder Vavra has gained distance and has been assigned to Triple-a Norfolk. He has the right to reject this assignment and choose the free desk, but the O’s say that he has accepted it and will report it to the tides.
Vavra, 28, drew a Minor League deal with the O’s in the low season. He apparently has been the “Break Glass of the club in case of emergency player. He was selected in May in the main class schedule then Ramón Laureano Press the injured list. The O’s signed the next day Cooper Hummel. Vavra did not appear in a game before he was designated for assignment, cleaning up exemptions and accepting an outright assignment.
Prior to the deadline, the O’s traded Laureano, Ryan O’Hearn” Cedric Mullins And Ramón UriasOpening a lot of playing time to the position of the player. Vavra was selected on Friday to the schedule. He was placed in Saturday’s game as a Pinch Hitter, who ran in his performance of one album. He was again appointed on Sunday for an assignment when the O’s grabbed Ryan Noda Off -distance statements.
He now returns to his role as a non-scheduled depth player. He brings a little experience on the table, because he has appeared in 68 main class competitions, although his recent line -out is his only action since 2023. He has a .252/.329/.302 battle line and 84 WRC+ in the large competitions.
He has set up a number of strong figures earlier in his career of the Minor League, but has not been so impressive lately. He underwent a shoulder operation in 2023 and has since then has a .241/.343/.342 line and 91 WRC+ on the farm. He has at least some experience in every position on the diamond, including one collection of Triple-A Mop-Up work on the hill.
