Tatiana Suarez comes for a new crack at UFC Gold.
The one -time title Challenger gets back in the Octagon At NOCHE UFC for a scrap with high-stakes with fellow top-five-arranged strowegen candidate Amanda Lemos. It will compete Suarez’s first time since the suffering of a crooked, unanimous decision loss against Zhang Weili on UFC 312 in February.
Despite the setback earlier this year, Suarez is still the second rank in the world and believes that a victory at Lemos in San Antonio may bring her straight in line for a shot at the main prize of the division.
“I think this will catapult me in the right direction to get another title shot,” Suarez said MMA Fighting. “I want to fight against Zhang again. I am not sure what will happen if she wins. I hope to fight her again. I hope she will eventually come back so that I can win the belt and then fight her again.”
Tatiana Suarez has learned a lot from her fight against Zhang Weili
Perhaps helping the SUARAAREZ case for a different title shot are the fact that Zhang Weili is no longer the reigning strowen of the UFC. Last month, Dana White announced that ‘Magnum’ left her 115-pound crown in an attempt to go up and to challenge flight weight champion Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 322.
As a result, Mackenzie Dern will meet Virna Jandiroba on October 25, with the winner leaving as the new Stromweight title holder.
“I learned a lot,” Suarez said about her fight against Zhang. “In general I have gained experience outside of it. More cage -time, more experience, and I am getting a better hunter through it. Now I am focused on Saturday and I am looking forward to winning the victory. The next time I fight for the belt, I have much more experience. If I have adversity, I am well prepared.”

Although earning a different title shot is the ultimate goal, Suarez is more concerned with staying active.
“I don’t mind winning another victory and then the title, or even if I have to fight two more, I just want to stay busy and continue my journey to become a champion,” Suarez added. “I don’t really care how many fights it is.”
Suarez is 10-1 in her mixed martial arts career, her only loss that comes against Zhang.

As far as Lemos is concerned, the Brazilian Slugger is looking for her own ticket back to TitleStad after she had not removed Zhang two years ago. Since then, ‘Amandinha’ has won two of her last three, including victories over Dern and Iasmin Lucindo.
