Premier trotting sire Tactical landing will put a seven-strong draft up for auction next month NZB National Yearling Sale.
The Muscle Hill horse is represented by six yearlings – five colts and one filly – on the Christchurch Sale on Wednesday, February 18 and a filly at Karaka on Monday, February 16.
Leading the Tactical Landing entry at the Canterbury Agricultural Park is a colt out of Harness Jewels winner Missandei ($149,805), dam of multiple Victorian Group placegetter Kyvalley Michael.
The draft also includes a colt from a Majestic Son half-sister to Cup class trotter Everybody Knows (lot 196), a colt from the family of NZ Sires’ Stake 2YO champions Wanna Play and Wanna Play With Me (lot 257), a colt from a half-sister to four-time Group 1-winning trotter Temporale (lot 305) and a colt out of a Love You mare closely related to Group 1 winners Solar Fire and Sheemon (lot 259).
The only Tactical Landing filly at the Christchurch auction is Lot 278, whose granddam is a half-sister to the trotting toppers Allegro Agitato and Skyvalley.
The only representative of Tactical Landing in Karaka is Lot111a filly out of a Love You half-sister to the NZ 2YO Trotting Filly of the Year High Energy, the Redwood winner High Step and the Young Guns winner Higher Power.
