Syrian government officials and leaders in the Druzen -religious minority have a renewed cessation -the fires announced after days of collisions that threatened to unravel the post -war political transition of the country and pulled military intervention by Israel.

Convoors of government forces began to withdraw from the city of Sweida, but it was not immediately clear whether the agreement, announced by the Ministry of the Interior of Syria and in a video message of a Druze religious leader, would be.

An earlier cease-fire announced on Tuesday, the local time, quickly fell apart and prominent Druze leader, Sheikh Hikmat al-Hijri, revealed the new agreement.

Israeli strikes continued after the announcement of the ceases -the fire.

Rare Israeli sky hits the heart of Damascus

The announcement came after Israel had launched rare air strikes in the heart of Damascus, an escalation in a campaign that it was meant to defend the Druze and push Islamic militants away from the border.

The Druzen form a substantial community in Israel and in Syria and are seen in Israel as a loyal minority, which often serves in the army.

The escalation in Syria began with Kidnappings from Tit-for-Tat and attacks between local Sunni Bedouin tribes and Druze armed factions in the southern province of Sweida.

Government forces who intervene to restore order clashed with the Druze militions, but in some cases also attacked civilians.

The violence seemed to be the most serious threat to the efforts of the new rulers of Syria to consolidate control of the country after a rebel offensive led by Islamic rebellious groups the long time drove to the spotic leader Bashar Assad in December, which ended an almost 14-year civil war.

Interim President Ahmad al-Sharaa called De Druze an integral part of Syria and denounced the actions of Israel as a sowing division, in the television images of the state that was shown early Thursday.

“We confirm that protecting your rights and freedoms is to our top priorities,” he said, specifically to the speeches of Druze people in Syria.

“We reject every attempt – foreign or domestic – to sow division within our ranks. We are all partners in this country, and we will not allow a group to distort Syria and his diversity.”

He said that Israel was trying to break the Syrian unity and make the country a theater of chaos, but that Syrians rejects division.

He said Syrians were not afraid of renewed war, but sought the path of Syrian interest in destruction.

“We have assigned local factions and granted spiritual leaders the responsibility to maintain security [Sweida]Recognizing the severity of the situation and the need to prevent the country from being dragged [into a new war]”He said.

The new Sunni Muslim authorities of Syria have had to deal with suspicion of religious and ethnic minorities, especially after collisions between government forces and pro-assad-armed groups in March, ran in sectarian revenge attacks.

Hundreds of citizens from the Alawitic religious minority, to which Assad belongs, were killed.

No official victim figures have been released for the last fighting since Monday, when the Ministry of the Interior said that 30 people were murdered.

The war monitor, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, who had been killed in the UK, said that more than 300 people were killed from Wednesday morning, local time, including four children, eight women and 165 soldiers and security forces.

Israel threatens further escalation

Israel has launched dozens of strikes that focus on the troops and convoys of the government on their way to Sweida, and on Wednesday the headquarters of the Syrian Ministry of Defense hit next to a busy square in Damascus that was a collection point after the fall of Assad.

That strike killed three people and was injured 34, said Syrian officials. Another Israeli strike hit near the presidential palace in the hills outside of Damascus.

The Israeli defense minister Israel Katz said after the first Damascus Air Strike in a post on X that the “painful strokes have started.”

Israel has taken an aggressive attitude towards the new leaders of Syria and says that it does not want Islamic militants in the vicinity of his limits. Israeli troops have seized a non-patroled buffer zone on Syrian territory along the border with the Golan Heights and launched hundreds of air strikes in military locations in Syria.

Mr Katz said in a statement that the Israeli army “will continue to attack the troops of the regime until they withdraw from the area – and soon will also increase the series of reactions to the regime if the message is not understood.”

An Israeli military officer who spoke in accordance with anonymity in accordance with rules said that the army was preparing for a “multitude of scenarios” and that a brigade, normally consisting of thousands of soldiers, was pulled from Gaza and was sent to the Golan Heights.

The Ministry of Defense of Syria had previously blamed for the militias in the Druze Majority area of Sweida for violating the Stakes-fire agreement that was reached on Tuesday.

Reports of murders and looting in Druzen areas

Videos emerged on social media from hunters affiliated with the government who violates the mustaches of Druze Sheikhs and on Druze flags and photos of religious clergymen. Other videos showed Druzen hunters who defeated and posed captured government forces through their bodies.

AP reporters in the area saw burnt and plundered houses.

The observatory said that at least 27 people were killed in “field performances”.

Druze in the Golan gathered along the border fence to protest against the violence against Druze in Syria.

The American State Secretary Marco Rubio said on Wednesday that Washington was “very worried” about the violence of Israel-Syria, which he attributed to a “misunderstanding”, and was in contact with both parties to restore calmness.
