Suzuki has built five cute concepts that we can’t have

It’s been more than a decade since Suzuki stopped selling cars in the United States and tried to displace the Kizashi sedan, Equator pickup and Grand Vitara SUV before throwing in the towel. But Suzuki is still building new cars for other markets, cars we can’t have, like the five cute concepts it’s showing at the Tokyo Auto Salon next month.

The first concept is the bite-sized SUV Jimny. It is part of a collaboration with the video gaming company Capcom and takes its design elements from the Monster hunter franchise. Capcom has released the latest installment of the game, Monster Hunter Wildsearlier this year.

Suzuki is also showing off a DR-Z4S off-road motorcycle inspired by the Monster hunter‘Seikret’, a kind of means of transport. It features a unique color scheme and a saddle bag.

There is also a Suzuki XBEE equipped for nature photographers and a Suzuki Every Wagon called the Wanpaku Rider, which is designed for families looking for outdoor fun. This van has a roof rack, a Roam awning, extra lighting and three Strider bicycles on top.

The final concept is the Suzuki Super Carry Work & Play Pro. It is a small truck with a cage around the bed for added convenience. The automaker says the Super Carry should serve as a base camp for both work and play, whether that’s camping on the weekend or towing during the week.

The Toyoko Auto Salon runs from January 9 to 11 and will feature a few other exciting debuts. Nissan will show off the manual Z Nismo, and it will be the first time Toyota has shown the GR GT sports car to the public – and those are the debuts we know of. Stay tuned for more details early next month.

We’ll get the Z Nismo MT and GR GT in the United States, but Suzuki will never bring its cute little cars here, probably no matter what changes are made to federal law.
