A supercomputer has now predicted that Liverpool is the most likely team that wins the Premier League title in the 2025/26 season.
This follows a series of victories for the MerseSiders (4-2 vs Bournemouth), Arsenal (1-0 vs Manchester United) and Manchester City (4-0 versus Wolves).
The results in question show the side of Arne Slot in the table, behind the target difference for the Sky Blues, Tottenham and promoted outfit Sunderland.
Opta predicts that Liverpool will beat Man City and Arsenal as Premier League
It goes without saying that it is still very, very bad Early days in the campaign. We certainly have a much clearer picture of the possibilities of each team after the opening of 10 games of promotions in the English top flight.
That said, as things stand at the moment, Opta’s supercomputer has granted Liverpool a chance of 29.7% to retain the Premier League title this period.
| Premier League teams | Opportunities to win the Premier League title |
| Liverpool | 29.7% |
| Arsenal | 28% |
| Manchester City | 21.7% |
The next competitor is Chelsea in fourth place with a grim drop-off in chance of 5.5%.
Can the objectives of Liverpool and the defense of Arsenal determine the title?
Liverpool apparently has some problems to iron out if they have been retaining a first league title since the 1980s.
Defensive care is at the top of the agenda, although there is some hope that the return of Ryan Gravenberch at the foot of midfield will at least partially reduce this.
At Arsenal, on the other hand, goals seem to remain scarce. Although it is still too considered whether Summer Signing Viktor Gyokeres can help bridge the gap.
If the Swede is successful in that department, the men from Slot can have a big problem.
Newcastle and Arsenal could see the chances of Liverpool tumbling
Although we adhere to the rule that we cannot judge the title references of a team after just a handful of competitions, we can get a considerable indication of the next two matches of Liverpool.
Newcastle Play host of the Premier League champions next Monday, before Arsenal visits Anfield on Sunday of that week.
The magpies may be without a striking center-forward Alexander Isak, but it is fair to assume that St James’ Park will be an absolute boiler for the same reason.
Based on that, if we come up with four points from both tires, we would believe that a healthy scoring to take the rest of the campaign.
Of course not, and it would not surprise us that Liverpool is decreasing the rankings in the opta -Supercomputer calculations.
