Suns Trade Deadline plans are already crystal clear

The Phoenix Suns is perhaps still a while away from return to the training camp – although it is on the horizon – but it is already possible to map what much of the 2025-26 season will be for them. After giving up their hope for winning a championship with Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal in the city, the Suns played to rebuild around Devin Booker.

Only that is no sense that you will often hear in the valley this coming season, with the text “re -processing”. This is to try fans, booker and probably even to convince themselves that they will quickly start building a selection off the ground around their 28-year-old superstar who is able to fight again. That is not going to happen.

Suns will be sellers at Deadline again this season.

It will even have to get a little worse before it can start to get better, so the Suns will become sellers in the Trade Deadline. The reason for this is clear, even if they have no control over their lottery picking next season and therefore have to try to make the play-in so that they can start building a positive momentum.

But it is clear from the rumors from Phoenix this summer that the Front Office Grayson Allen, Nick Richards and Royce O’Neale would have traded if they could have had it. All and Richards are already mentioned as the two boys – in addition to four seconds of Rounders – who tried to pack the Suns to acquire Jonathan Kuminga. Talk about Wishful Thinking.

Although none of those three players trying to shift the team is currently of much interest, the trade theadline they will be. All three do not earn a crazy money – and in the case of all and O’Neale – still have several years on their current contracts. A peripheral candidate can easily talk in a player in all or O’Neale who could shoot more than 40 percent of deep.

If it fails, they can also be moved again in the future – albeit not for a lot – and all suns will be looking for as much design capital as possible. Or that or a younger player who needs a change of environment, with Phoenix suddenly one of the better locations in the full competition for a player to get minutes and shots to rehabilitate their value.

A first rounder for one of their available trio seems unlikely, but there is no doubt that the suns are looking for prospects and picks. That means that this rebuild will take longer than someone would like, but the team has to sink that slightly lower and lose a few more veterans before they can start their long climb back to the top.
