ESPNs Kevin Weekes reported On Saturday that the conversations have been ‘fairly extensive’, and added that ‘both parties do not leave any stone undisturbed’ while they are looking for common ground. Stolarz, 30, enters the last year of the two -year -old deal of $ 5 million that he signed with Toronto on the opening day of the free agency in 2024.
Stolarz had a breakout campaign in his first season with the Leafs and ended with a 21-8-3 record and a .926 savings percentage about 34 performances. He even generated the buzz of Vezina Trophy and posted a .927 savings percentage during his first 16 starts before the knee surgery sidelined him for six weeks.
