If there is one area that the Phoenix Suns was seriously missing in recent seasons, this has been the central position. It all says that the best big man could collect the franchise while Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal was the Valley Home called Jusuf Nurkic. Even worse, he was exiled by the suns before Durant and Beal even left the city.
Now that the schedule is being made again around Devin Booker, the Front Office has at least taken a big man for the future. Kaman Maluach is perhaps only 18 years old, but he was a loter choice who was worth a chance. The trade for Mark Williams of the Charlotte Hornets, at the same time that the team selected Maluach, was a main Kresterkras, which is more difficult to understand.
Suns should have taken a swing at Thomas Bryant.
Instead of making an exchange for Williams, the suns should have waited and see if they could sign Thomas Bryant. The last rumors for the 27-year-old being that he A deal is approaching to go to EuropeAnd you just know he will dominate there. After you have just been to the NBA final with the Indiana Pacers, why did the Suns not see if they could sign him instead of Williams?
With the organization no longer in the first or second apron, it would actually have been easier to get Bryant than before they bought Beal. The team will also not win a championship next season and need experienced players who do not eat much in the long term to lead this younger group. Bryant would certainly have checked those boxes.

Although he is better used as a backup, there is no reason that he could not have started next season before hopefully handed the governments to Maluach. Because it is that Williams – that four -year -old junior – is going to insist on the starting role itself, which is a good thing in theory. As we have discovered with the point watch position, the competition is even positive in the training camp.
The Williams Move would have been logical if he was always healthy – like this other new sun – but we know that that is not the case. He has never managed more than 44 games in a season – and despite being invoiced as a starter – a total of 77 career competitions started. Williams is a better big than Bryant who clearly has more advantage, but whether Phoenix will ever see that or not a different story.
You can understand why they took a chance of him, given their current position, but Bryant was the better transition choice if the Front Office is serious to go back to the position soon. There is also the problem of what to do with Nick Richards, who is still on the Roster and is an ideal backup. He is probably moving anyway, but it should have been Bryant in the door.
