The Olympia World Fitness Expo from 2025 will have much more than bodybuilding. Other prominent sports will be prominently exhibited in the Las Vegas Convention Center on October 10, October. One is Olympia Sumo as presented by Then Veal, Better known as “sumo then.”
Roubling
The passion of Sumo then for the sport was illuminated by watching a documentary almost 20 years ago. Once he felt that Spark, the 12-time American Sumo champion has become an inferno that influenced the sport on an international scale.
He stated: “Sumo struggling outside of Japan is considered an amateur, but I have been to international tournaments and participated in world championships.”
Apart from competing in sport, he has worked to increase consciousness for sport, as the Olympia Sumo was established. All those years later, Sumo is still enthusiastic about the part of the big weekend in Las Vegas, and it still attracts a crowd and internationally praised athletes. When he looks back on his efforts in the course of two decades, he thinks that his younger person would be proud of what he did.
“I was able to compete, Ref and guest judge. For what has been available, I made the best of my 20 years.”
Look forward
Sumo then there is not one for remembering too long, and he is already thinking of the coming years, both professionally and personally. The next generation Sumo wrestlers are coming, and one of them is his own cousin, Everett.
“He is still playing football. So he won’t be there this year, but we are already looking at him in the Olympia in the future.”
While he is waiting for Everett to be ready for next year, Sumo is in the last phases of the Olympia Sumo event of 2025, which doubles as the highlight of his 20th birthday in the sport. Many athletes from all over the world will come together in the Las Vegas Convention Center to be part of the promotion. Some names that are expected to compete are Larry Velasquez,
Who wins from an open weight on the Milano Sumo 2025 open in Milan, Italy, 2024 Olympia Sumo Light-heavyweight Paul Gutierrez, and there will be women’s action with 2024 Olympia Grand Champion Kellyann Ball.
“This whole year was about celebrating my 20th year, and the Olympia will be the grand finale of that.”
Train as a Sumo champion
Sumo wreststers are not only very competitive in their sport, but also in the gym. It costs more than a lot of food to excel, and Regent is of the utmost importance for their success, and that includes touching the weights. Sumo then applied the same bet in this aspect as the sport itself.
“Most traditional Sumo exercises are leg -based movements that increase the power, flexibility and balance.”
To make the training work with his sport, Sumo then combined gym exercises with Sumo positions and movements.
Squats or edges with Koshiwari
Koshiwari is the Sumo Squat position with legs wide and pointing to it. Sumo then squats or leg presses would replace the Koshiwari position.
“Increase your flexibility by pushing your hands on your knees back or digging your elbows into your thighs. Try to force your legs open with both movement to the full 180 degrees or afterwards and keep it uncomfortable.”
How to do it: āIn the deep squatted position, your elbows stopped by your side, and your hands for you have been hit, use your legs to lift your body 1-2 inch; repeat. This can look like bouncing, but it is really controlled” jet reps “caused by the light bow to the wide Koshi-posit downstairs.”
Leg curls with shinkyaku
Shiyaku is the Sumo Hamstring piece, “Sumo says. It is logical to combine this with a different rear chain exercises such as bend curls. He explained that he would have five of these per leg between leg curls.
How to do it: āIn a squatted position, stretch a leg straight from your body 180 degrees. Keep your other leg bent flat on the floor. Push down on your straight leg to feel the piece on your hamstring. If you are flexible enough, your calf and hamstring must hit the ground. Repeat on your other leg.
Light extensions with Shiko
If there was a starting exercise for all Sumo wrestlers, it would be the shiko.
“Shiko is the most important exercise for Sumo,” he explained. “It is a combination of leg lift, stump and squat. Champion Sumo wrestlers do hundreds of shiko per day at all levels.”
Sumo would then combine this with leg extensions. He would do 10 Shiko representatives with every leg between sets, but you have to start with less if you are new to this.
How to do it: āStand with your legs wide, lean aside and ball your weight on that leg. Lift your opposite leg straight to that side, as high as you can get it. Then bring that leg down, stamp that foot on the floor. Squeeze as low as you can go back to your starting position and then lean to the other side for the opposite leg.
Calf rises with Suriaashi
The last combination in the routine of Sumo then a calf increase of each variety with good sliding footwork, also known as Suriashi. This is done so that the athlete can always stay in balance.
How to do it: “Start with a wide wooden squat, but not as deep as Koshiwari. When you spread your legs almost 180 degrees, you push your feet forward, lead with balls of your feet and keep your sink in contact with the ground. Your torso stays straight, your elbows are in tight and your hands push the imagined opponent into you.”
